Who We Are
A 10,000 sq ft converted warehouse in North Riverfront — built for bass, light, and the people who live for both.
Our Story
Mississippi Underground was born from a simple conviction: St. Louis deserved a world-class underground electronic music venue. We took a raw 10,000 sq ft warehouse in North Riverfront and transformed it into a purpose-built space for the culture — with a sound system that rivals the best clubs in Europe, a lighting rig designed for immersion, and a layout that creates intimacy at scale.
Located at 1441 N 2nd St, steps from the Mississippi River, the venue sits at the intersection of St. Louis' industrial history and its evolving creative future. Every element — from the poured concrete floors to the custom-fabricated stage — was chosen to serve the music and the people who love it.
Our Space
Custom d&b audiotechnik line array with dedicated sub-bass infrastructure. Tuned for clarity at every volume level from whisper to wall-shaking.
Full moving head, laser, and LED matrix system. Programmed in-house for each event to create a visual experience as powerful as the music.
3,000 sq ft of open floor space built for movement. Sprung flooring, low ceilings where it counts, and unobstructed sightlines to the booth.
Guarded on-site parking lot. Additional street parking on N 2nd St. We're also accessible by MetroLink — Grand station is nearby.
Fully ADA accessible venue with step-free entry, accessible restrooms, and designated viewing areas. Contact us in advance for accommodations.
Full-service bar with craft cocktails, local draft beers, and non-alcoholic options. Coat check and merch station available at select events.
Our Mission
Mississippi Underground exists to champion the artists, the culture, and the community that make underground electronic music what it is. We prioritize booking artists who push boundaries — local talent alongside international headliners — and we believe the dancefloor is a sacred space. No phones on the floor. No dress-code theater. Just music, people, and the moment.
